Important information
The SELANA Alpha is the only e-scooter in the Netherlands that meets the strict requirements of the RDW (Netherlands Vehicle Authority) and is legally rideable and insurable. All other electric scooters cannot be insured. If you do ride an uncertified scooter, you risk a €400 fine.
Only the SELANA Alpha is permitted on public roads in the Netherlands. All other e-scooters (including well-known brands) are currently not legal for use on public roads and cannot be insured.
SELANA spent six years developing and completing the RDW approval process. This makes the SELANA Alpha the first and only certified electric scooter in the Netherlands.
No, no driving licence is required for the SELANA Alpha. You do need a valid registration document and insurance.
